Mar 07, 2014 E46 Headlight Confusion. But from what I understand after the reading up I have been doing a xenon equipped e46 shouldn't have height adjustment in cabin and should only be self leveling. The following procedure is performed on an E46 BMW (2004 330xi) using D2S bulbs. Steps may vary from model to model, but the general procedure is the same. You may have to disconnect and move components for better access to the back of the headlight housing, and in some rare cases, headlight removal might be necessary. Just a heads up. 1999-2001 BMW 3Seires E46 Original Xenon Headlights OEM HID D2S Bulb Ballast Igniter Control Unit Parts,If your BMW E46 AL HeadLight have Problems like: failure flickering or dipped beam light not working can find us replacement the oem xenon parts.professional supplied by www.oemxenonshop.com.
I really dont know much about Xenon headlights, and googling was a confusing mess. Im starting to get a problem where my headlights will flicker for some time, and then the left one will go out randomly. Turning the lights off and on again will bring the left one back to life, but will eventually flick off again after some time. Does this give anyone any ideas for what the problem might be exactly? Thanks for any help.
The car is an E46 330i (2001)

BMW E39 Scheinwurfer' means BMW E39 headlight or headlamp. It is the make and model of a headlight that is used in certain BMW models. It can be bought from any BMW dealership.
is very easy, u just have to unplug the connector from the bulb on the headlight assambly, take out the bad bulb and place the new bulb.
Pop the hood and get behind the headlight assembly. The bulbs twist right out so just get the connectors off the bulb. Clip them on the new one & get the new one to get in the slot then twist to lock it.
Unfortunately, you have to replace the whole headlight assembly. Just went thru that after an accident. There are small plastic 'rods' that hold things in place and apparently once they break, there is nothing else you can do. Be sure you are sitting down when you get the estimate........
Inside the instrument cluster. To replace them remove the cluster and take it apart.
Are you talking about the fender light or the corner light next to headlight? And what years is your application? Corner light next to headlight. 2002 BMW 325xi
Open the hood and there are a few flat head screws, unscrew them. remove head lights from assembly. Replace same way. Fairly easy just be careful you don't strip the screws. Its easy to do on the 96's. Good luck.
Newer BMW's are nearly impossible to be able to change the headlight on. Take it to the nearest shop and have them do it for you.
faulty hazard button assembly, if you are mechanically enclined you can open the button apart and adjust the contacts inside and that will fix it, if not just replace the button assembly.
They are the headlight washer covers. If you have headlight washers, these covers lift when you activate the windshield washer.

if you take apart your head gasket and then replace the oil pump then you might not even have to adjust your suspension

You have to remove the grill (entire piece that extends under both headlights), remove the headlight housing and then pop the headlight off the connectors.
You might have a headlight out. Check the high beams to make sure that they are working. (Those are the REALLY bright lights.)
take it to the local BMW garage and they'll do it take it to the local BMW garage and they'll do it
there is no fuse i beleave just for the right headlight, i presume your right headlight is not working, do you have xenon or halogen bulbs, if you have xenon then the most likely cause is headlight xenon control modules, if the module is the cause i would sudjest replacing both headlight modules, and the front right xenon bulb. good luck.

The starter is located under the intake manifold, and you will have to remove the intake manifold to get to it. Do not forget to buy a intake gasket before you take it off, because they always fall apart when you take the intake manifold off.
Regretfully no there is no just cover or lens replacement. the whole healight assembly must be replaced. If somehow you do find a lens cover, then you will have to find a way to unglue the old cover without damaging the base and then reglue on the new cover with no air leaks so that water cannot get in and damge all of the electrical connections on the inside of the headlight assembly.
