In my office I have many computers all running 1000Mbps LAN absolutely fine.

I have two HP 250 G2 i3 notebook laptops that can only run at 100Mbps.

I have cat 6 cables.

I've looked at the spec on the spec PDF online and it says that it has 10/100/1000 NIC. As seen here

I have gone into the advanced settings, into 'Speed & Duplex' As shown here.

The options available to me there are: -10 Mbps Full Duplex -10 Mbps Half Duplex -100 Mbps Full Duplex -100 Mbps Half Duplex -Auto Negotiation

Many thanks for your help! Running Access databases in here and the two machines on 100Mbps are silly slow.

UPDATE: After much escalating and escalating with HP, they have now got back to me saying that these machines in fact do NOT support 1Gbps. We bought them after reading the HP documentation stating that they do, which is in fact wrong.

So I'm now in a new argument over how they're going to rectify this problem!
